Ben's Burgers began in the late 1940s, founded by my older uncle Ben with a simple belief: serve good food, treat people right, and give the community a place that feels familiar. What started as a small burger spot grew into something bigger than a business. It became part of Bay Point's — formerly known as West Pittsburgh — story.

For generations, Ben's was the place people came when they wanted a classic burger, hot fries, a shake, and the kind of service that makes you feel like more than just another order number. Families came in hungry. Friends met up. Regulars became familiar faces. Over time, Ben's Burgers became a local tradition, built one customer, one meal, and one conversation at a time.

That tradition was passed to my Uncle Do, who carried the restaurant forward with the same heart and dedication. He protected what made Ben's special: the quality, the consistency, the family atmosphere, and the connection to the people of Bay Point.

Then life changed.

After my uncle suffered two strokes that restricted his mobility, our family faced a difficult moment. This was not just about a restaurant. It was about a legacy that had survived for decades. It was about the work of the family members who came before us. It was about the customers who had made Ben's part of their own lives.

In September 2025, I made the decision to take over Ben's Burgers.

I did not step in to erase its history. I stepped in to protect it — and to push it forward.

As the nephew taking the next chapter into my own hands, I saw the opportunity to honor the past while building something stronger for the future. The classic burgers, the longtime customers, and the family values remain at the heart of Ben's. But now, we are growing.

We expanded the menu. We brought in a full breakfast menu. We extended our hours. We created more options for families, workers, night owls, and anyone looking for a real meal at any time of day. From early-morning breakfast to lunch, dinner, and late-night cravings, Ben's Burgers is becoming more than the neighborhood burger spot — it is becoming a place Bay Point can depend on all day long.

This is not a brand-new restaurant trying to create a story. This is a family legacy that refuses to stop.

Ben's Burgers has weathered generations, change, and hardship. Now it is rising again with new energy, new ideas, and the same family pride that started it all in the late 1940s.
